Here are my 7 staples for creating a home spa day for myself and I encourage you to do the same! This is your reminder to treat yourself like a goddess. Don’t forget to pamper yourself often.

You will find a lot of Primally Pure products on this post because I’m OBSESSED. I have suffered from acne and scarring into my adulthood which really sucks. During the pandemic I’ve been trying to clean up the products I use and to find what works for me. Primally Pure reached out and I tried out their cleansing oil first. It works SO much better than just soap and water, aka I’m never going back. Many estheticians use the method of oil cleansing so check it out on YouTube.

I wish I took a before and after pic, but believe me when I say my scarring and # of zits per week has reduced. I use the Primally Pure brand daily and especially on my home spa days because the products are well made, non-toxic, do what their description says, AND is female-founded woo! What’s not to love about that? Feel free to contact me if you want more information about their products because I’m a daily user. Plus I scored a discount for you: Use code RADIANT10 for 10% off your entire order.

1. Fruit Infused Water (Hot or Cold)

Chop up some detox fruit such as cucumber or lemon to toss into a water infuser. This is help to flush out toxins. For a cold infusion I steep it overnight in the infuser. For a hot infusion, I make it the morning of in a heat safe cup.

2. Crock Pot Hot Towels (w/ or w/o Essential Oil)

Place a few hand towels in a Crock Pot with 1 cup of water and set it to high heat. If you want to take it to the next level try adding an essential oil. I would not suggest using the same Crock Pot you use for food. If you want to WOW your guests after dinner, I love having these hot towels ready to go after a meal.

3. Gua Sha Massage

Have you ever tried Gua Sha? Watch this quick how-to video. Gua Sha has become a daily routine for me and I focus on different areas of my body throughout the week. For my face and neck I use a jade stone. For the remainder of my body I use a bian stone. If you have a partner take turns performing Gua Sha on hard to reach areas such as your back, you won’t regret it. Make sure you apply an oil beforehand to help the stone glide across your skin.

4. Aromatherapy (scented candle or essential oil)

Use a scented candle or diffuser to set your desired mood. I like to use calming or rejuvenating scents such as chamomile, sandalwood, or eucalyptus.

5. Facial Mask

I love a facial mask. Lately I’ve been obsessed with using masks with natural ingredients that I can see and even started making a few of my own! I’ve been using this Clarifying Mask from Primally Pure that helps with my acne and it feels AMAZING.

6. Steam Bowl

There are fancy face steamers out there, but I like to do the old fashioned way of hot water in a Pyrex bowl. Add your choice of herbs or essential oils to the hot water. Drape a towel over your head and keep your face about 10 inches from the bowl (it will sting if you’re to close). This helps to improve circulation in your face and preps your pores for cleaning or moisturizer absorption. Dry your face with a clean towel afterwards!

7. Bath Soaking Salts

I love a luxurious soak in the tub. I use the Dr. Teals Epsom Salt Soak because it works to relax the muscles. Use a waterproof head pillow so you can lay down comfortably. I have a day-job where I’m on my feet all day so taking a bath to relieve the stress is crucial. Last thing, if you have dry skin try doing a hot oil bath instead of a salt one!

Happy Pampering!
